Yuan Rong Zhang – https://yuan.art
Yuan is a Canadian visual artist focusing on contemporary painting and drawing. Arrived in Europe in 2015, she lived and worked in London and Barcelona before moving to Luxembourg at the end of 2019. Her practice draws on her multicultural background where she learns to perceive the world as in an everchanging
indetermined state, which in turn makes her become curious at investigating the spontaneity exhibited in each step of the evolution. Her current research looks into metamorphosis in mythology and nature where she studies certain characters and phenomena and redefines their quality in a contemporary context. In parallel to her art practice, she is also a graphic designer and illustrator.
In the workshop, she wishes to share with the participants her experience on working in a small scale through composition and positioning, and ways to create a work with wet and dry materials as well as collage.
Ina Isabelle Schiltz
As a transdisciplinary artist Ina is a lot interested in the body as the intersection of experience, perception, identity and surface to the world. Their practices started in the fields of performing arts, but very soon after graduating they became interested in following the body of the performer through all kinds of different artistic expressions as they are curious to better understand freedom in artistic practice without giving up on critically questioning society. Currently they spend most of their time learning music and music production.
For the workshops they offer they like to explore from, with and through the body any secondary artistic expression that may be the topic so that arts can become more tangible and related to the lives of people who may have or not have a personal artistic practice.
